KPMG European Audit Scheme (ACCA) 3 yrs - Applied, rejected after online numeracy test (2nd stage)!
KPMG Audit Scheme (ACA) 2 yrs - Applied, rejected after initial application form and personality tests (1st stage) as didn't realise you can't reapply - for any scheme - withint 12 months of being rejected!
British Council English Language Assistant in France - Applied, pretty much definite that will get a place since nearly everyone who applies gets a place and I've done it before!
AXA group Human Resources Graduate Scheme - Applied, just done online numeracy test and verbal reasoning (2nd stage), think am going to fail numeracy and be rejected
World Challenge Overseas Leader Recruitment Assistant - Applied, just sent them a cover letter and CV: nice and easy bog-standard application; no need for online psychometric tests, personality tests, assessment centres, etray exercises, group presentations, initial interviews, second interviews, final interviews blah blah blah
P.A.B recruitment Graduate Trainee Recruitment Consultant - Think have applied: uploaded my CV to a general employment website about 4 months ago and P.A.B have just headhunted me, got sent an email from Michelle Ryan of P.A.B this morning and have emailed her back.

French interpreting was actually alright! Last Friday I didnt manage to get to the Black Swan so I'm making myself go tonight after Chris has cooked us a passanda from scratch. Last time it was a yummy chicken tikka massala from scratch - took him hours!
So last sun was the second IGF rehearsal - still not sure if we have enough men for it to go ahead yet. Monday night (after my French interp) I saw Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour at Metro Radio Arena with Simon Jenna and Catherine. Tuesday I didnt make it to Tiger Tiger (what a surprise - I MUST go next week) Wednesday was Sara's bday drinks so went to Revolution and Venue. Thursday I met up with Kate for coffeee; Diane, Laure and Elodie for some French-speaking practice in Pret a manger, and then in the eve I had my second German class before our first official house activity - this time it was a slightly rushed meal at Strada before going to see PS I love you at the cinema. Wonder what we'll decide to do next week!
Today have been grab-a-granny tea-dancing at Eldon Leisure, tomorrow I'm dressing up in traditional 1940s costume and having my photo taken as part of Anna'd postcard degree-show project, and then in the evening it's Eliza bday drinks at Apartment.
Next Tuesday we're seeing Cats at Theatre Royal (so I guess that could be our house activity!) Wednesday its Itchy Feet at....somewhere and then on Friday it's our 2nd house party and on the Sat Im off to Wickham for my perfume experience.....not sure how I'm going to get there.
Have applied for AXA's HR graduate scheme (24k starting salary), been invited to try the online verbal reasoning and numerical tests before 6th february after they approved my application form.

One more exam to go!
Hmmm well since last wrote have had a 3 hour linguistics exam (Mon avo), Spanish interp exam (Tues avo) and handed n my essay and data analysis for French SLA. Not particularly confident bout any of them... Have French interp on Mon morn which am about to start revising for - is not v much can do really. Watched an hour's French TV this morn, gonna listen to some podcasts, do the interp practice on Blackboard, read through my notes and research useful vocab.... then the rest is down to the day!
Last Fri I went to the Black Swan briefly, and on Sun avo we had the first LBS IGF rehearsal, so got the next one this sun from 2 till 6. Last night I started my 10-week German night class.... Tonight am not sure if I can be bothered to go to the Swan - too far to walk!
Have also finished season 4 of The OC (Last season ever!) and applied for a different training scheme with KPMG, not realising that you cant reapply within twelve months of being rejected from any scheme, so I just wasted 2 or 3 hours of my life filling in the dumb form all over again! Gonna start on more job applications next Tues.....
Right, Im off to listen to some podcasts

Grrrrr this Goddam internet!!!!!
Hmmmmm internet keeps disconnected everytime I load a page!!!!
Well Monday morning I sent off the rest of my British Council application for teachiing in France next year, sorted out some other paperwork and stuff in town and went to French interpreting seminar at 4. In the evening I cooked chicken-and-pasta-and-sweetcorn-and-beans-and-peas-and-tomato bake for Tom, Jo, Shabs, Steve, Dan and me and then we went to the Cluny for one long and drawn-out drink.
Tuesday morning I had my 'informal chat' at Open Door North East for my position as 'Artistic Collaboration Volunteer' for Anna's art project, filled in a CRB form and then after a bit of essential shopping went home to resume World Englishes revision from last week. Contemplated going to salsa at Tiger Tiger but couldn't be bothered to walk all the way there. Yesterday I had French writing from 9 - 11 then came home to make a few phonecalls before trying to do more World Englishes revision. Went round to Sara's briefly to pick up her book and have a quick cuppa. Last night cooked chilli con carne, although wasnt as nice as it ususally is - think I overdid the seasoning a bit lol.
This morning have been finishing off Second Language Acquisition essay (adding the appendix)and am supposedly gonna do more SEL revision this avo..... Tomorrow meeting Kate in the morning to practise for interpreting before a SEL revision lecture and Spanish interpreting seminar. There was a Q and A session for Second Langugae Acquisition this morning which I didnt bother going to, as am pretty much sorted for that module.

I'm an Auntie!
Ruby Jane was born at quarter past 4 this afternoon! I got back to Newcastle last night.
Since last wrote, have met up for coffee with Steph and Ruth, seen St Trinians at the Odeon with Ruth, visited Grandparents again, and given up on World Englishes revision for the time being. So not very much really in a week lol. Went out for a curry at Rumana's with parents last night.
Today have been for a not very scenic walk between Bede and Brockley Whins. Tonight Jo is cooking us dinner, have just watched the 4th episode of Season 4 of The OC. Not watching any more until exams are over. Bought The OC, Season 2 of Desperate Housewives, 3 CDs and 4 books from Amazon the other day! As of tomorrow, I restart revision etc after 3 days off.
